Puppy class is a lot like breakfast:  the most important meal of the day.  Starting a puppy off right at the beginning of life is like giving your puppy the roadmap to success with the fastest route already highlighted.  We can prevent so many behavioral problems that we see in older dogs, and when we say “older” we are talking about as “old” as one year old.  Bad habits can form quickly.  So please do your puppy the best favor you can, and sign up for puppy class or program.

We cover the following in our puppy classes and programs:

  • Basic Obedience
  • Confidence Building
  • Positive Crate Training
  • Behavioral Shaping (chewing, jumping, etc)
  • Housebreaking
  • Health and Safety
  • Socialization with Dogs
  • Socialization with People
  • Socialization with Objects (vacuum, skateboards, etc)

If the above areas are not covered with your pup, we are by no means saying the below list is guaranteed to happen, but you certainly run a healthy risk of the following happening:

No obedience or structure i may lead to an out of control dog.
No confidence building may lead to a dog that can’t be left alone.
No positive crate training may lead to a dog that breaks out of, drools, or cries in the crate.
No behavioral shaping may lead to a dog that jumps on your guests, chews your sofa, barks nonstop.
No housebreaking may lead to a dog that uses the bathroom all over your house.
No health and safety may lead to a dog that is overweight or eats something poisonous.
No socialization with dogs may lead to a dog that is aggressive or nervous toward dogs.
No socialization with people may lead to a dog that is aggressive or nervous of people.
No socialization with objects may lead to a dog that is aggressively attacks your vacuum or skateboarders.

Our Advice:

Do not gamble on these potential disastrous outcomes. We have numerous clients sign up for aggression, separation anxiety, out of control, etc every month……..and all these dogs were once a puppy. Just sayin’ :0.
